Tuesday, September 11, 2018, 6:30pm - 7:30pm @ Lord of Life Lutheran Church

Good evening, Scouts!  I hope you are excited about the first Pack meeting of 2018!  We will have a featured guest, Lt. Brady Fitzgerald with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.  With our Pack meeting being on September 11, we consider it a special honor to have an officer who is part of a cadre that look after our safety and security.  Please take a moment on Tuesday to thank Lt. Fitzgerald both for coming to speak to our scouts and for his dedicated service.
 
Tuesday’s meeting will be at Lord of Life Lutheran Church from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.  Scouts should be in class A uniforms.  For those scouts who do not have class A or B uniforms yet, wear a blue short-sleeve shirt and shorts.
 
This will be our first meeting with the Lion Den and as a Pack with girls and boys.  We, as Pack 883, embrace this opportunity to include all scouts.  There has been a learning curve regarding guidance from multiple levels of Scout leadership about how to fully establish and integrate all scouts together.  As we start, we welcome your input and feedback about how we are progressing.
 
There will be a period of time during the meeting when the scouts go with their den leaders to see Lt. Fitzgerald’s patrol vehicle.  During that time, I ask the parents to stay in the room so some quick information can be disseminated to you.  This includes the following:


  1. Forms due for new and returning members
  2. Popcorn fundraiser overview
  3. Rain Gutter Regatta
 
It’s going to be a lot of information to cover in a short amount of time. Please be ready to listen and process information. You will very likely need to fill out some forms, and you may need to take some notes, so come prepared with a pen. I will bring some extra pens in case; just know they (and I, for that matter) all shamelessly advertise for nurse anesthetists :).

At this moment I can't post some of the membership forms, but I am posting the link for the Family Talent Survey online. It is a Google Form this year that is filled out electronically and more easily digests data for us. That link will be on the website. Of great importance, please bring your checkbook!  We cannot accept cash or other forms of payment at this time for pack dues.
